Christian Challenge exists for the glory of God. We are a group who seeks and welcomes students and gives them the opportunity to know Jesus Christ as Lord, so that they would love God, love others, and serve the world.
We are a ministry on the campus of Fort Hays State University that is commited to glorifying God and making disciples of Jesus Christ. The Challenge community is one that welcomes people from all backgrounds and desires to see them transformed and grow into mature followers of Jesus Christ.
Find out how you can get connected with Challenge.
We want to see students at Fort Hays grow into mature followers of Jesus Christ.
Carin is the Director and founder of Christian Challenge at FHSU. She moved to Hays in 1994 from Oklahoma after completing her Masters Degree and spending two years on Staff with a collegiate ministry there. She loves Jesus and wants students to learn to love Him and His Word. She really enjoys her most-handsome nephew, her crazy cats, traveling to cool places, and the Oklahoma State University Cowboys.
Cameron has been on staff with Christian Challenge since August of 2013. He has a Bachelors degree in Music Technology from FHSU and joined staff after graduation. Cameron leads the worship team and organizes our Tuesday night services. He enjoys using music and creativity to help people connect with Christ, and working with students as they discover their role in Kingdom ministry. He and his wife Tessa were both involved in Challenge as students at Fort Hays, and are excited for the opportunity to continue the ministry for future generations of university students.
Hi! I am a Fort Hays State Graduate and on staff with Christian Challenge. I graduated with a degree in General Science with a Biology emphasis. I am married to Nicole Bosse, who is also on staff! My role on staff is to run CAST (creative arts and service team). We come up with service and outreach projects to do within Challenge, as well as promotional ideas. I really enjoy doing the behind the scenes work and having somewhere to try new ideas and use them to glorify God and give others the chance to hear the Gospel!
Hi my name is Nicole Bosse. I have been on staff with Christian Challenge since the Fall of 2015. I primarily work with our freshmen and new student Life Group, Starting Point. I grew up in Spring Hill, Kansas, a small town south of Kansas City. I graduated from Fort Hays State University in December of 2015 with a Bachelors in General Studies with an emphasis in education. I got married to Travis Bosse, who is also on staff with Christian Challenge, in March of 2016 and it’s been great!
Kellan grew up on a western Kansas Farm, went to Colby Community College, and transferred to FHSU in fall 2013. He Graduated in 2015 with a BS degree in Technology Studies (Manufacturing) with a Drafting and Design certificate. Kellan got involved with Challenge, and started attending small groups his first semester because of a free snocone and an invitation. During his second semester in Hays, he joined the Challenge student leadership team and helped with a men’s small group. Kellan participated in Project Impact KC in the summer of 2014, and helped lead life groups in Challenge the following year. He says “I am very grateful for Challenge and its impact in my life. As a student, it was very much an experience in accepting Gods love and forgiveness, learning how I fit into the greater community of Gods church, as well as understanding what Jesus meant with his commission to make Disciples.”
Sarah was raised on a farm outside of a tiny town, Edson, in Northwest Kansas with her parents and a younger brother. She graduated with a degree in accounting in December 2011 from FHSU. She works full time for a local convenience store as their bookkeeper, and serves part-time on staff with Christian Challenge. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, working on some Pinterest project, and enjoying nature! College ministry, especially Christian Challenge, has a special place in her heart as this is where she came to have and grow in her relationship with Jesus!
